Best of Zion

I took so many pictures. The last time I was in Zion I was with my dear friends Rob and Jness and I had a dinky camera that was still smothered in color from holi and I really felt like I didn't capture Zion's in the way I wanted.

It's so colorful that these photos weren't edited much, and a lot of our hiking was in the middle of the day so the light was really harsh. I still feel like I didn't capture Zion's as well as I'd like. Andrew had my camera so a lot of these shots where by him, mostly the wide angle ones. My wide angle is a good lens in a pinch but it distorts the image around the edge, it's not perfect, bah. But hopefully in the future I'll find a good enough wide angle with sharp edges.

Emerald Pools

This little grotto stairway always reminds me of Christ. I really don't know why, but it's always been spiritual to me. Maybe I think this is what it looked like when he rolled the stone away and walked out of his tomb.

See the sammich remnants on his whiskers!? HE STOLE IT, from a lady who was shooing him away, then he tried to see if he could get a snack from my camera bag.

We hiked along with this couple in the bottom left. She's the one who lost her sammich to the deviant squirrel.

Weeping Rock water droplets and cotton.

Weeping rock would leave these little calcite deposits everywhere.

We stayed here for a good half hour
