J'ness~ Rob's wife, she is so easy going and cool, she has a huge heart and I loved spending time with her. I liked to see the way her and Rob interacted, to a single person who doesn't have someone I can dote all my affections on you may think I would get jealous or annoyed. But that was never the case I only hope I can find someone as compatible with me as these two were!
Rob, the class clown. I laughed so hard my sides still hurt! Rob is also really easy going...and makes the best faces!
THURSDAY:
we arrived in Zion around 12 set up camp and went to town (literally) to check out the kitch sitch and grab some local food. Another thing about Rob and Jeneese is they love local food and diners. We found Blondies and I had the elk burger which is one of the leanest meats you can get, I also learned just what "gamey" tasted like, it was good and I didn't get sick from the meat!
Upon leaving the restaurant we noticed there were a lot of places that had huge blocks of glass and random types of art so we just walked up and down this little town and even stopped by an elk ranch.
I liked this one I thought it looked like space!
The Elk ranch, they let us touch them..
It was pretty gross feeling their wet noses on my hand!
These were pretty cool wind spinners, all very expensive!
My favorite is Rob behind us with that face! So funny!
FRIDAY:
I brought my camera with the broken screen in hopes to get some clearer pictures of the narrows but upon arriving at the narrows we found that it would be a suicide mission. The water was 40 degrees and rushing, I guess I'll just have to go back in August, I really want to do that hike!
There were squirrels everywhere! They are so smart too, THEY KNOW! They know to act cute and it stops humans in our tracks and possesses us to reach in our pockets to give them any food we might have...SO SMART! I refrained because there were signs threatening a 100 dollar fine if caught feeding these little con artists. They were so inquisitive as well and flippin adorable! Look at those paws!!!!!!
Lunching at the lodge! Then off to the emerald pools!
The water falling off the cliffs was rather cold. I got a good dose of it!
Finally there!
The picture of Rob was the last of the battery of the "hope you get something good" camera, it turned out funky!
Angels Landing is next!
AMAZING! I'm glad you brought your camera because every single picture we took came out completely black...oh well right?
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of your squirrel encounter.
