Free Lensing

I'm a little smitten with free lensing right now, for the last few months my photography has been all about technicality and I'm trying to break free of that for a little while and get back to some artsy fartsy pictures. I did shoot a roll of film, now I just have to stop being lazy and drop it off.

Free lensing is the poor mans tilt shift, basically you open your shutter all the way and take it off your camera and shoot and focus while tilting your lens up, down, back and forth until you get something you like. It takes a bit of work to get used to and play with but it's fun none the less.

It gives you an ethereal feel doesn't it. Soft and laid back, like summah!
