What's been goin on?

We have bugs. OH DO WE HAVE BUGS! Until I freaked on Andrew and made him use some of the pest control he sells to kill them. We haven't had issues since...

This is a centipede.

Andrew vacuumed up the centipede and I swear it was still alive, so I made him dump in out in the dumpster which is a giant hole that EVERYONE dumps they're whatnots in. He then lost a piece of the vacuum and was really annoyed with me, we luckily could order the part.

Of course I couldn't go through a summer without growing something. We have a succulent garden, tomato, squash and herbs all in pots.

This is Old Hickory Dam near my work, I head out there occasionally when I'm early. I thought these pictures looked better in BW

Today's adventure was heading out to the Narrows of the Harpeth, a mystical place really, heavy with history that dates back 1000 years this place had a "feel" to it.

First stop- a Veterans Cemetery...in the middle of nowhere.

By happenstance I came across the cemetery, and by accident Newsom's mill. It's like the place was wanting to show me all it's secrets, because I was completely lost.

I guess this place used to be the bees knees.

I then just drove around for an hour or two looking for places to shoot.

I used my toy wide angle lens for this shot, I'm desperate to capture the vastness of Tennessee.

The Narrows, during the 19 century a plantation owner decided to build a tunnel through the rock from one side of the river to the other. He used slaves and accomplished what is now a creepy hole. The kids who were swimmin on the other side seemed to have enjoyed their private swimmin hole. I would too.

My friend Kiely is comming in a couple of weeks and I hope she's cool with canoeing! There is a place south of Nashville I wanted to check out.
It has a haunted cave!!!

The cows here are like hippos.

There was also this ancient Native American mound but it was completely ensconced by the river. Archeologists say that it was some sort of mecca holy place, and there was a city built there over 800 years ago. I couldn't see it too well to shoot but it was spectacular for sure.
