Well I have until Monday before I'm tethered to the computer again for 3 days straight, so I need to check out the area and get some air! I went to a favorite park of the locals, this park is literally 20 minutes from downtown Nashville and about 15 minutes from our apartment. Andrew was out all day "makin money for his honey" (that's me, though I make money too sometimes) so I decided to get a bit of exercise and take some pictures.
Not only did I feel as though I wasn't in Nashville AT ALL but I got quite the workout. It's about a 2 mile hike around the lake with a bunch of mini hikes on trails in the hills. This is a wildlife sanctuary and a good place to spend your lunch break. *after you've eaten, you can't picnic here*
While hiking I even got offered a job (again) this time by a lady who sells real estate she said she could use a photographer, so I gave her my info. I told her I was a student and did side jobs, and I felt WAY cool....but then I neerded out over a turkey, which you will see soon.
The squirrel and I both did a little "eek" when we saw each other.
And then he flew away!
It would be an understatement to say things are green here.
aren't these little guys cute!?
I love this little birds stance, look how he's holding himself up and blasting out a tune as loud as he can. It was pretty remarkable to watch, I was about 3 feet from him.
Why did the turkey cross the road?
I got so close to this deer and would have gotten closer except I was afraid of poison ivy.
Yes. That's an owl!
I EVEN SAW PEOPLE!
*help me*
Squirrel!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, I love that one you got of the owl! I'm glad you're having so much fun. By which I mean I am assuming you are "having fun" because you are experiencing new things...and if I know my Lalo, she is always having fun as long as she is experiencing something new!
ReplyDeletethose turtles! :D
