One of the things I really didn't like about TN was there were no fruit trees or berry bushes anywhere! I look forward to every summer for the cherries, plums, apricots, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, pears, and grapes. I know where to get all of those for free, and I pick them myself. For those who don't live in UT the valley was home to large amounts of orchards back in the day before BYU and UVU exploded the population. Also I think that Utah Valley's landscaping teams really love the flowering trees which in turn usually bears fruit. Andrew and I still love to walk around our neighborhood here in PG and check out all the gardens and swipe a peach or two ;) we have been known to actually buy our produce too, especially this year since we didn't have a big garden.
Farmer's Market Provo
While we were in Provo we hit up some of our old gleaning haunts
But we were too late :(
Yes we glean in alleyways
Our favorite spring plum tree.
Ever the hunter he scours
Why I thought this was a good idea is beyond me...
We did find some plums that usually are ripe by the fall! They were good to take so we got a whole bag full SCORE!
"Fast Food"
I've missed Provo, but I'm happy not to live here currently :)
