Date night in Salt Lake City

Andrew and I try to go on dates at least twice a month, it's super easy for us to get comfortable at home and just stay there for days on end because we are both homebodies.

Last night we headed to Salt Lake on a whim because we wanted to get out of the valley for a little while and have some fun. We first stopped at Simply Sushi and played with my new camera and ate our fill of the beautiful and delicious sushi!

We then went to my friend Matt's house to pick up a camera he offered me because he's moving to Seattle at the end of the month. The camera is a Nikon n80 35mm film camera and I totally scored another lens. A 28-80 mm, not grandiose but still another lens I can use, and the camera it self is in super good condition! Also he gave me his holga! I now have two.

After visiting with MattyB we went over to Jordan Commons to see John Carter, based on the 12 book Edgar Rice Burroughs Martian Series. 

I have to say, it was pretty entertaining. I was never bored and curious about where the story was going. Both Andrew and I like sci fi stuff so we had already decided we wanted to see this before even discussing it. There wasn't any sex or language but there was lots of alien violence which in my opinion is TOTALLY RAD! A few cheesy parts but over all a really entertaining flick.
