I love the sunroom. So does Emerson! It's only a few days a week where we can sit out there and enjoy the warmth. It's still cold out, but the sunroom takes in all the sun greedily , hoarding as much heat as possible as if it were the best toys.

Before and after Photoshop.
This is my Friend Ray. We met a few years ago in a ward that I didn't stay in very long. I seriously love this guy!
Before
I had made an announcement on facebook asking if I could have permission to use somebodies picture for a project that is due. The project was blemish clean up, lighten, and essentially make a more vivid picture.
Ray volunteered, because he has some skin issues due to illness and reactions to medication. I still felt evil erasing everything.
Anyway this is my first photoshop experience and to be honest I didn't exactly have fun. I kept getting confused with layering and distracted with the liquify application.
After!
Not so bad, though I am looking forward to more practice.

classmates and other jewels
I'm loving this camera, and the colored film. I still need to scan in a few of my prints from class but that means I have to set up my wireless printer and that will obviously take forever. So you're stuck with color film for now. Here are a few while I was waiting for some things to be printed at Kinkos, I decided to walk around to see what I could find. The others are of some friends from class. The two boys are very attractive, and of course very gay.
Story of my life.
Enjoy!
The picture above needs to be clicked on to see the awesomeness of it. I haven't shrunk them so it will be huge.
This girl is adorable, we have some great conversations!
These two boys are SO gifted artistically. They produce some of the most beautiful work in the class.

Teyonda
One of my dearest friends for about a decade now is visiting. She just graduated with a masters in social work and is now getting ready to start a job for a non-profit company in Maine.
I love this girl.
Taken with my Pentax, 200 speed expired film, Center street in Provo.
Teyonda is super camera shy, so this is the only one I have of her looking right at the camera. Plus it's just artsier when you look away all dramatically.
We found this little nook, I said "oh get in there I like that lighting" she says "there's pee in the corner!" I made her do it anyway.
At this point I'm trying to get some good poses out of her so I'm yelling "pretend you're in the projects!" she says "not really the look I was going for"

Jessica, dinner, and sexy aliens.
I went with my friend Jessica to dinner and a movie. We don't get to spend a lot of time together anymore because she is busy with her student teaching and doesn't have time to work at ATEC...WITH ME!
Anyhoo, She is one of my dearest and longest running friends here in Utah. She is such a inspiration to me on how living the gospel should be. She is always so happy and more than willing to give. But don't get me wrong, she isn't perfect! But pretty darn close, I am lucky to have such a good, virtuous friend such as she.
We went to Jason's Deli.... A delicious place where the salad bar has AWESOME hummus and a good selection of nutritious lettuce, none of this "ice burg" only crap.
OH and they have soft, self serve ice cream! And you don't have to eat crappy chinese food to get it.
After Ice cream we walked around for a bit in the mall, which is always fun.
I have no idea why she has her shoes off.
Creepy Manequins
We saw I am Number Four, which at first seemed super interesting. But it kind of turned into an alien saturated Buffy episode.
I loved it. Plus there were lots of pretty and super cut high school boys. Not including the geeks behind us who kept making jokes through the gooey scenesProbably why they don't have girlfriends. None the less, I enjoyed myself.

birthday "lunch"
On Tuesday it was Rob's birthday, and I left work a little early for mental health reasons and decided to join Rob and J'ness for a lovely birthday lunch. We decided to go to the International Buffet because it sounded interesting and I had been there before back in July. We show up and there is a pretty fountain in the foyer, but I'm distracted from the tranquil beauty because it's so HUMID. It's like a flippin steam room (oh that sounds nice) or like in addition to international food they also have hot tubs full of soup. Not really amazing because the humidity was so uncomfortable, and it smelled funny...my hair started to curl!
There was no one there, but there was a nice spread of different Asian foods laid out and ready to be consumed. I noticed some sushi and it looked pretty decent, but there was this sign above it that read...
Well I'll just post the picture.
Whaaaaaat?! I totally took some! It was so pretty but really didn't taste that good. I was careful and only ate a couple of pieces, I was so worried!
Rob's plate had some interesting stuff on it, one of which was a delicious roll. It was golden brown on top and glistened with butter. However when he bit into it....completely hollow! It had been sitting there for so long that the heat had sucked all the moisture out of the middle. We compared it to the turkey in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation...
I couldn't get the exact version but if you must see, go here for an example of just how dry the roll was.
After that I would get samples of food just to out do the bone dry roll, the egg drop soup with the consistency of gravy almost won...almost.
Needless to say it was a fairly interesting lunch and pretty darn funny to boot.

100 speed
I love walks. The last couple of weeks have been OK to walk to church (not too cold) this last Sunday was amazing, at least 50 out and sunny. So I took advantage of the light and used 100 speed (expired) film and here's what I got!
There were 36 exposures, maybe I'll post more later but for now these are the best ones.
Roommates Heidi (left) and Josie (right) We sat outside during the last few moments of this warm day. Thank goodness to Josie for being a camera ham, I wouldn't have finished off this roll.
My favorite.

Photo Project
I finally finished a disposable camera! It took forever, back in October? September? I had left a camera tied to a cross walk pole with a sign explaining a little bit about my project. I had like 6 exposures! SO SAD considering it was the monthly gallery stroll. I guess people thought I was a creeper or something. BUT I did get to finish it off semi-anonymously last weekend when my roommate's and I went to the PARLOR for bad poetry, good pizza, and spontaneous stand up (by me, which I completely failed at, I'M RUSTY!) The first shots were from the gallery stroll then the parlor!
Enjoy.
These people were creative!
Random, one of the kids found this back when I still lived with the Carrs, they must have taken a picture of us playing/snuggling.
The Parlor!
Who are these HOTTIES?!
