Arizona on a Whim
The first week of school I kind of freaked out.
Starting school, continuing with a stressful job and being engaged kind of took a toll on me emotionally and I just needed to leave. To be honest all I could think about was spending time with my Amy (not pictured because she HATES IT) and her beautiful girls (above) So I literally just left one night, I packed my bags and cried all the way to AZ, I wanted to have some good quality girlie time with my favorite babes from Kingman, Amy, Alena, Scarlett, and Holly. And that's exactly what I got, we made blueberry pie, gleaned cactus prickly pears and pomegranates (which were SUPER sour), hung out at the cellar door, did a lot of antique-ing etc. I guess I just needed to be with people who loved me, I needed to be surrounded and I needed to gather strength from my roots. I felt like a water starved plant, who knew I would be satiated in the desert heat. I didn't want to leave AZ but I knew I had to come back to my shabby life and do some house cleaning. I'm still trying to catch up from missing classes one day, I gave my engagement woes to the Lord, and I've decided that work isn't all bad at all. Life has been refreshed as it were, and I'm ready to take on the semester and plan a wedding!
Such a sweet moment that Amy caught, this is me crying about my problems to Amy's darling blue haired grandma.
I can't even begin to tell you my Prickly Pear anguish, they were hard to get! But made delicious ice cream!
The cats always claim my car at my parents house
The donkey "Boo"
This was a feather stuck in a web.
Amy made this cute suitcase for me,
it's me gleaning with my rat Trixie! SO CUTE and creative to boot!
I'm glad I went home, but I'm also glad I'm back in Provo. Sometimes it takes looking at things from a different perspective (thanks Rob) to really appreciate what you have. I love Andrew so much, I'm enjoying school, and work is so much more bearable with good boss's and friends for co-workers. My life is spectacular.
I have the best people around!

I'm so glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteWow, you took so many great pictures and I hardly saw you with your camera out at all. Girl, you take a good picture every time you point-and-shoot.
I am still logged in as you in my computer. I like it, I think I'll leave it like that at least for this comment.
Ghosts of Lalo around the house...a bobby pin here, a computer logged in as lalo there...
I love the picture of the donkey (?) rolling around on its back!
