Work, Life, Garden.

I know that this blog has kind of turned into a photo blog but it is actually for friends and family to keep tabs on what is going on here on planet Lalo.

 SO here goes.

Work: I'm so flippin burned out! I took a 4 day weekend to acclimate to a bunch of changes that are going on, they aren't too pleasant and everyone is pretty grumpy about it. My boss is amazing though and I have faith in our program and it's success after what I call "The Purge".

Life: Well my car needed to be registered and in Utah like many of you already know, you have to jump through 10 hoops before you have the privilege to pay 150.00 so you can merely park your car on the street (12 inches from curb or less, or you get a 25$ ticket). One of these hoops included me having to pay 250.00 for my car to be suitable to drive by Utah's standards. The mechanic I went to did a half-ass job and over charged me, and yes I'm too proud to call him on it. Now I'm poorer than dirt and I still have 19 days till I get paid again. But hey! I can drive in Utah, too bad I can't afford gas.

Garden:
I've been keeping up with weeding and other garden duties, I do love to dote upon my plants. There are a lot of little projects here and there that I like to work on like eating what I grew. Even after our massive downpour last month where I was seriously concerned about my plants drowning they have bounced back from spotty bloated leaves to healthy green and turgid. I'm so happy that it lived!
Also I planted so much that I kind of ran out of space so I just started putting vegetables in pots and other random places I had dirt.

Peas in a very small pot

Zuke in a plastic tray (Skoticus this is for you, the mound I made at your house can't sustain life right now)

 Ahhh, garden!

Sunflowers gro so fast! I planted this two weeks ago, and it's already hip high.

 Onions and lettuce

My peas climbing up the trellis

These pansy's are awesome!

Tom's

I incorporated a lot of flowers into my garden this year, mostly for bees but also for their beauty!

My herb pot, everytime I water or walk by it smells so delicious! I have arugula, oregano, basil and rosemary here.

The blue pots are home to a smorgasbord of peas, wild flowers, tomato seedlings and random lettuce starts.

This purple lettuce was from seed...It's HUGE!

 Dirty feet

While weed eating grass kept smacking me in the face....I knew my 30$ racquetball glasses would come in handy again!

  1. The garden is awesome. Good on ya, Lalo.

Sorry about the car stuff. ;S Geez, if I were you, I'd move someplace where the registration is easier... (hehe.)
