On Friday I went to see the new version of this ever so classic film, and while growing up it happened to be one of my favorites along with Dragonslayer and Legend. I am all about fantasy when it comes to films, and occasionally a good one comes out to satiate my need for a fix. The special effects were pretty good, and the movie moved along quick. It was like watching Andrew play one of his video role playing games, you know because Perseus had to save the princess but had get the tools to do so like snake ladies heads, and eyes of witches and such. On a more positive side, Sam Worthington is seriously a HUNK.
When I was a kid watching the original film I thought the guy who played Perseus was also Jim Morrison.
Do not watch in 3D it wasn't filmed for it and the polarized glasses will just give you a headache.
The Greek was a little off...I never knew a cow could be so hot.

The story held true most of the time and I was ensconced with the story until the very end. I certainly recommend this film.
My favorite part was a cameo by this thing...

ReplyDeleteThank you for the movie review- I was definitely wondering about this one- I haven't seen the original, so I don't have much background on it. And I heartily agree on the hunkiness of Sam Worthington- I'm so glad he's been appearing very frequently in movies :)
