Joyce (my old roomie) contacted some of us ladies to go on a post Pell grant shopping trip so we decided on the gateway, I picked up Joyce and we made our way to Trax. I love the train! I feel like we should all partake of a cool public transportation system because it is a great way to people watch, avoid nasty parking fees and not to mention gas savings. We got to the mall about 1030 to meet Lani and we started our little shopping spree. I couldn't spend too much because I have been suspended from my second job until I get wretched, boring, lame, totally brain draining training done, so I had to be frugal. I totally got 3 dollar sunglasses that are way cute as well as a couple of necklaces of a bird and an owl. We were there for a couple of hours messing around in stores where we couldn't afford anything and passing up cologne wafted entryways. The sun was up it was 75 degrees with anticipated autumn breezes, pretty much perfect shopping weather. After we were done we drove around to look for some lunch to end the day, we drove by Moochies a sandwich place where a friend works but they were closed so we buzzed around Sugar House or "Sugar Hood" to enjoy some house porn as Lani put it *she's in the real estate business*. We found this wonderful place called O' Falafel, independently owned and delicious. Lani got the Mousakka which is Eggplant with yogurt and tomato sauce it was incredible, Joyce had the pita and yogurt mint salsa, I had the Falafel sandwich which tasted a lot like falafel... GOOD! We also got a sampler plate so we could taste everything and that is what's pictured. There is hummus, tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. We had a blast catching up and just having a good girl day, I'm glad I had the day off and available to spend with good friends and tasty food!
