Tress! My favorite thing.

Last Sunday Andrew and I took a drive in the hills to see what was going on with the leaves. In addition to everyone else having the same idea and things were crowded we actually had fun! Andrew took over my camera while I drove and some of them turned out pretty neat!

The rest were taken at cascade springs most by me:

Some people get really into it.

It was super windy all day! I had done my hair all cute and nature destroyed it!

It was a beautiful day! I will be posting some extras on funnylookingfreckle

Random thoughts I need to get out...

Why aren't there any hot lunch ladies? They are always homely, lanky, and scowling. What has happened to those poor women to make them that way?

I hate making comments in my Geology class, I feel stupid. Even more stupid than the kid who makes lame comments about how he went down the water slide naked in high school and then a bunch of girls wanted to date him.

However in my English class I have been deemed the "smart kid" I have a couple of people who always sit by me and ask me questions about the homework, one even added me on facebook for a more constant flow of advice. I don't know how to feel about this, and now I have work extra hard so that I know what I am doing. I don't want to lose my new status.

I wish my sewing machine bled, then I could actually feel bad when I rip the thread out of the bobbin and throw it against the wall.

The most fun at work lately is making fun of Gordon's accent. He is from Scotland, really hates being teased and gets grumpy. It makes my day when this happens. Don't feel bad for him though he dishes it out to me as well.

If you have never heard the song by Pink Floyd "Bike" you should download it now and feel as crazy as I do when I hear it. Totally worth a buck. In the song he has a pet mouse too.

I have eaten the same soup for 3 days. For lunch and dinner, today I mixed it up a bit by having a banana and peanut butter. Now I'm all sorts of gassy, grrrreat!

I wrote a 5 page paper about global warming today, I am convinced we are all going to die. Thank you Al Gore for stressing me out EVEN more than I already was.

I tried to call in sick to work, then got guilt tripped into coming in anyway. Today has sucked because I got to work through migraine and cramps simutaneously.

I must have listened to "here comes your man" by the Pixies at least 6 times in the last 30 minutes.

I am consistently 20 minutes late to work on a daily basis. I cannot wake up because I can't fall asleep.

The mountains look like the multicolored dry cat food my mom used to buy for the coven of cats we have.

My ankles are swollen, I now have cankles. Congratulate me later please.

I went to buy new garments yesterday and the lady sized me 6 sizes larger than I usually wear. I know I have not gained a hundred pounds so I freaked out in the distribution center, bought a size smaller than I usually wear to prove a point, they are a little small. The word pride is going through my mind a lot lately. This word is currently worth 25$

I think I'm going to move to Australia.

I feel as though I may be comma happy, I add them all the time, perhaps unnecessarily.

I have 3 bug bites on my knee, I itched them too much now they bleed. If I take a tissue and blot the blood it looks like a ghost face. :o kinda like that.

When you are walking down a street or hallway by yourself, there is no one else around. Is it really to much to look up and smile at the person headed towards you? Or are you that deep in thought you cannot acknowledge another human being.

Make that 7 times for the pixie song.

OK enough of my rants. I should be posting a cool blog tomorrow with lots of pretty pictures taken in the canyon mostly by Andrew he was the one with my camera, as we were driving he would just hang out the window and shoot.I thought I would have to get rid of a ton but most of them came out unintentionally artsy .

Life is pretty hectic...

Lately I have been on a strict schedule work, home, sew for two hours, school, home, paint, bed. I am tired! I dropped a shift for work and picked up a Sat shift. I will be doing Market every other Saturday instead of every week. That way I get caught up on things and get to see movies and have friend time. I had a pretty awesome weekend though finally!

Friday:
Andrew and I worked all afternoon making strange concoctions such as a zucchini peach berry souffle and cupcakes for a toga party at Liann's house. I stopped by Tailor Made and bought some cool bangles and a laurel leaf headband for Andrew. He looked awesome and I looked pretty awesome too, Andrew said I looked like Minerva Goddess of Wisdom....I was OK with that she must have been hot haha. I like a doofus forgot my camera! After the party Andrew and I went up in the canyon for some end of warmish weather stargazing, you would be amazed at how much you can see with a simple pair of binoculars, we saw tons in the whole 10 mins we gazed cause the rest of the time was used trying to find a comfortable spot to stay warm and then some wrestling where as always I got my trashed kicked. He literally flung me over him a few times and caused grass stains, so fun!

Saturday:

Went with Andrew to see 9 it was pretty cool not something I would buy though. It was the story of Machine vs Man = war and death blah blah blah. We then went home and made some potato onion soup DELISH!

Sunday: wonderful day at church I was mildly hormonal so I like cried when people said hi to me and such. Andrew afterwards gave me a lesson in math that I actually got. He decided to start tutoring me to give me a bit of a head start, and has been bugging me about it for a month. I really don't think I could have gotten a better friend.

OK Monday:

I have been assigned to take a crew of Adults with Disabilities to Aspen Elementary for an hour while they clean up after the kids during lunch, and TODAY was Chinese day. I love talking to the kids they are so innocent and sweet and I think they really like me because I am always getting into conversations with these wee ones. Maybe it's because I act more like them all wild and crazy like, plus I never match, so essentially I look like them too. One boy always comes up to me and says "hey, how you doin?" it's cute. I had mentioned to a couple of kids that I was collecting fortune cookie fortunes and next thing I knew I had kids from every end of the lunch room giving me their fortunes! I ended up with 25 way quicker than if I had eaten 25 meals from panda, ewe. So I shall do something artsy with them. Here are a few:

"your laugh and enthusiasm pleases those around you"

"you have and active mind and a keen imagination" hmm

"you are a bundle of energy, always on the go" sounds good for those kids!

"Fortune cookie say: your sensitivity is an asset." Not really cause I cry over the lamest things.

Monday Night:
Spent 2 glorious hours at the library reading two chapters of my geology book, I don't want to hear ANYTHING about tectonic plates or lithospheres, my brain may implode.

I hate FHE, I really don't like it because it can be time consuming and awkward.

I had so much fun tonight at FHE! I got called to make sure I was coming! So sweet, then we had an awesome lesson and played wallyball in the RB for an hour AND Hot guys took me to and from the RB AND they asked me to go with them NO CHASING FOR LAURA...tee hee. I wish I wasn't so self conscious I could have been cooler but whatever those are always afterthoughts. I played a mean wally, in a skirt even.
This all may seem a bit superficial but I haven't really gone and done anything super cool other than hang with Andrew, School, church etc. SO until I do something uber cool I will just be reading Y'all blogs!!

Friends, Fountains, and Falafel.

Joyce (my old roomie) contacted some of us ladies to go on a post Pell grant shopping trip so we decided on the gateway, I picked up Joyce and we made our way to Trax. I love the train! I feel like we should all partake of a cool public transportation system because it is a great way to people watch, avoid nasty parking fees and not to mention gas savings. We got to the mall about 1030 to meet Lani and we started our little shopping spree. I couldn't spend too much because I have been suspended from my second job until I get wretched, boring, lame, totally brain draining training done, so I had to be frugal. I totally got 3 dollar sunglasses that are way cute as well as a couple of necklaces of a bird and an owl. We were there for a couple of hours messing around in stores where we couldn't afford anything and passing up cologne wafted entryways. The sun was up it was 75 degrees with anticipated autumn breezes, pretty much perfect shopping weather. After we were done we drove around to look for some lunch to end the day, we drove by Moochies a sandwich place where a friend works but they were closed so we buzzed around Sugar House or "Sugar Hood" to enjoy some house porn as Lani put it *she's in the real estate business*. We found this wonderful place called O' Falafel, independently owned and delicious. Lani got the Mousakka which is Eggplant with yogurt and tomato sauce it was incredible, Joyce had the pita and yogurt mint salsa, I had the Falafel sandwich which tasted a lot like falafel... GOOD! We also got a sampler plate so we could taste everything and that is what's pictured. There is hummus, tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. We had a blast catching up and just having a good girl day, I'm glad I had the day off and available to spend with good friends and tasty food!

a little confused.
